~Good for Companionship~
Production reds
Buff orpingtons
RIRs

So I could just have a production red flock! Their GRREEEAAT HENS!Such patient and good layers nice too!
They will come to you though.

~A fun fact~2 ) Chickens can swim yeah awkward right.
They like daily treats.

Well from day 1 I knew I would continue with chickens i love them SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!Once you grow a GOOD relationship with the hens and 1 dies you will cry like I do its very sad.Well to those who read this thanks and have fun with chickens!

(What you need to watch out for when fights occur)

Anywhere on the face IS A OK!Legs a ok!any where like the back and tail and neck and tummy IS NOT A Ok! they can bleed there badly, that's when you take them inside.

(What to do if you have new hens and want them with the flock)
Well make them a cage near the other coop.If you already have 1 ok.Then for a few days let them see each other threw the fence for about a good month,or a week.I say a month. Then finally take 1 hen everyday and put in the coop(At night).I say at night because they won't tend to peck and can't see when its pitch black in the coop (make sure there's no lighting). Do this and make sure you have things to keep them interested so they won't fight.(Like daily treats)Meal worms,Watermelon, rice, you get it.though you can just put the whole flock in the coop(They tend to do better in groups)
Fighting~

I've notice people having trouble with chickens fighting. Now don't go nuts,it's probably pecking order or territory fighting.Nothing super bad.Like I explained how to introduce them.Plus after so long the hens quit fighting. When I get new hens I just put 1 by 1 in there. They fight ok then stop.

~Dictionary~

Broody~Hen wants to hatch chicks(Wants to be a mom)
Breeding~Good for using to hatch chicks
Pets~ a companion
Pullet~A young hen
Cockeral~A young rooster

I have 10 chickens they are between 6 and 8 weeks
old got them all from the same farm. The last few weeks every
time I clean the coop which I do once a week I keep finding
lots of feathers I've talked to people at the feed store and they
Said there just losing the baby feathers like we do with our baby teeth.
I look them over everyday I've never seen any bare spots but not sure what
To do any help would be appreciated.

Well my HENS lose feathers its probably just them getting pecked on or they sometimes pluck themselves or their just losing baby feathers. They will lose feathers when their grown it happens all the time sometimes they molt, but at their age they shouldn't molt.Like i said they may be setting a pecking order which means FIGHTS so they could be losing feathers from thaqt. You won't find bald spots because of this if its molting you should find bald spots in fact they should be featherless. My chickens fight because there are too many.Yours are young and still just setting a pecking order.I would watch them just in case im wrong.I try helping and sometimes I achieve i've had chickens for a while now so yeah.Good luck!
