CANCEL ALL CREDIT CARDS NOW. if any body give you any lip about them ask for a supervisor and keep going up the ladder all the way to the top, be sure you have a police report of the theft, that will help in filing to clear your name and cancel your bank account. Sorry it had to happen at Christmas but that is usually the worst time for honest people. Goodluck and STAY ON IT, it may take months to get it all cleared up.I think you can get a free credit report from all three companies if you have apolice report of the crime. When my Aunt and I went to her doctor's appt last Tues, we got a shopping cart and there a pocketbook left behind...we went into Target and had the person paged and she didn't come...then the phone in her pocketbook rang and she said that she was on her way back to get it.

If I hadn't have taken it into the store and someone else got their paws on it, Goddess only knows what type of hoops she would have had to jump through...there was cash, checks and a whole stack of cards, along with her license...

There really should be some way to put a watch on a SS#...
