Her right eye

Her right eye is normal though... Noticed during the past weekend, and wanted to give her some time in case she had been pecked or something. Well, its the same after all this time. As you can see, there is no fluids anywhere, and he eye seems pretty clean. The swelling is more along the face than the eye itself. Any thoughts? Hope she will be okay. I'll add, her droppings are normal, she eats and drinks pretty normally too. I'm really unsure why there is swelling around her eye here.

It still could need more time if she had been pecked. Have you tried to flush the eye in case there’s something in there? The eye itself looks good, and I don’t see any discharge, so it doesn’t seem to be an infection.

I was thinking About applying a few eye drops, and I know a younger cockerel has been going around trying to play rooster already, so I was worried she got pecked a bit hard. But also not sure. Yes, no fluids, no smell, some days are better than others, just a bit worried, I hatched her and love her colors. Would hate for something to happen to her.

I would clean her eye twice daily with saline or Bausch and Lomb saline eye wash, and apply plain Neosporin ointment or Terramycin to the eye twice a day. Pecks to the eye, getting something in the eye, and respiratory disease, such as MG, can cause a swollen eye, conjunctivitis, and eye drainage. Watch for sneezing, rattly breathing, or bubbles in the eye.
