That reminds of when we were building a chicken coop several years back. My sons were convinced that we needed a power miter saw, a pneumatic framing nailer, a cordless drill, etc, just to get started building a chicken coop. They were surprised when I handed them a hand saw and a hammer. I told them if they couldn't trim a stud to length with a handsaw, then they had no business building anything to begin with.
