Some type of clip for tarps / chainlink?

i used an old tarp and zip ties for my tarp it works great.

It's like this. YOu take a pebble. YOu put it near the edge of the tarp and gather the tarp around it to surround the pebble. You tie it in there REAL TIGHT with whatever rope/cordage you're going to use. Then you tie that to your fence or whatever. This will hold much better than, well, practically anything else including the grommets in the tarp. Yeah, you can buy commercial versions, but a pebble and string works as well or better than they do

However. Remember that when that tarp gets to flappin' in the wind, SOMEthing is going to break. You probably want it to be the tarp (replaceable) or the string (replaceable), rather than the part of the fence it is attached to (really sucks to have to repair, and can sometimes do catastrophic damage to the structure).

Shadecloth is MUCH better/safer/better-behaved for shade than tarps are.

I was only going to use these as adding extra shade in a corner, light weight, not permanent..and meant to fall apart over the next month I use a new tablecloth LOL
