Some type of Maran?

I am not sure what Rocko is. He was an adopt me from 27 March 2023 hatch from Meyers

The types of Marans are as follows( i included those he is obviously not)
Wheaten,black copper,blue copper cuckoo,splash,blue cuckoo,golden cuckoo,& blue birchen.

He is massive,bigger than many of my older pullets/cockerels chickens. He is gentle. He has very feathered legs, but not cochin like..

He is very different from my bcm pullets that i got in the same order. Although they are very big as well..

While i dont think he is a cochin,standatd cochins they carry are : partridge,white,bbs,

The first thing I would do is to check the color of the undersides of his feet. If that area is white or pinkish white, then Marans is a possibility. If it is yellow then probably he is a Cochin.

Since the hatchery offers a splash variety, it would also get solid blues as a by product, and that could be what you've got.

So interesting, i came across this thread! I ordered a bcm Pullet from Meyer hatchery (oct 2023 hatch). I received a cockerel that looks very similar to yours. I think he’s really very pretty, but obviously not what I ordered. When I sent pictures to Meyer, they refunded my money but werent able to help me with identifying breed. They just said he doesn’t present right.
