Some waddle missing,

My ladies are almost a year old, they are Smokie Pearls. I have 1 that is a total witch. I noticed today another Lady is missinga piece of the back of her waddle. Its alittle bloody. I don't have a pic yet, but could one of the other chickens be pecking her? Should I seperate the mean Lady to see if its her?

It may have been pecked. Or she may have caught it on a bit of fence or metal.

Do you have a picture? Have you seen any freezing temperatures or discolored wattles or combs? It sounds like she may have had it torn off on something sharp, such as fencing, or perhaps she was pecked.

Chickens don't have waddles. What they do have is wattles.
If you seperate the hen you suspect of inflicting the damage you'll never know if she's the culprit.
Take some time to watch and see if you're suspicions are well founded.

It seems we have a squirrel hiding acorns in one of the nest boxes. I found about 25 of them yesterday. So thinking the chicken and squirrel had it out. Squirrels are mean.
