Somebody please come....

My dad tells this story of a guy he once knew that suffered from drop-in relatives. They would come unannounced and stay forever. Finally he fell upon a solution. The next time the ingrates showed up he very sweetly welcomed them in and served them a nice dinner. After dinner he put all the plates on the counters and whistled for the dog. In zipped the puppy and on the counters he went. He promptly licked them all clean. The man then put them all away in the cabinets. The drop-in guests never dropped in again.
The man told dad that it took him two days to train the dog to clean the plates. It took him two months to break him of the habit, but that it was totally worth it just seeing the expressions on the "guests" faces. HA!

I will have you know YOUNG MAN that I have never in my life gone to bed with dirty dishes still around. My dear mother would roll in her grave!

The only thing I can think of worse than waking up to dirty dishes in the sink is waking up to a kitty (with tuna gas) sitting on your face!

Let's go in halves on a brand new dishwasher. When you have dishes that need doing, just ship em to me and vice versa.

Sounds good. Out of 5 people in this house, I am the one that does the dishes, laundry, and every little cleaning. Yeah, the kids have chores and they do help but they only have a small part of it!

If only I can get hubby off his butt to help out more things should be a lot smoother.

Instead, he leaves his dishes all over the livingroom or pile them up in the sink, waiting for ME to wash

I have no idea why Im becoming such a "FREAKY CLEANER" right now. I was on my hands and knees SCRUBBING the kitchen floor, I do have a good mop!

Dishwasher is doing it right now. counters washed and dried, floors swept and vaacuumed, all the kids in bed but one DS#3... on a date w/ a girl that he likes too much and the same is true for her. I'm gonna require him to take out someone else before he can take her out again. Son #1 thinks I'm worried without cause, but he's only 16. (he'll be 17 the beginning of next month)
