Awww BrattishTaz, that is awesome about your Archie. I'm not holding out hope - I did a search again this morning and I didn't find a darn thing.
I wonder if I'm wrong and it was a coon but I think things would have looked more violent. Poor little girl.

Thanks for the support everyone - I'm trying to think about what we need to do next. Someone here in town warned me - she said don't worry, Wendy, something will find your chickens. You think they are safe - but it's just because nothing has found them yet, and believe me, something will find them and you had better be prepared. I think I was so overvigilant when we first got them, I worried about everything and freaked out over nothing that I've gotten too lax.
