Hello
Please helpi just came home and found one of my chicks infron of the house door
When i came near it i found out its leg is brocken.
the thigh is all blue and the leg moves like a pendulum when i move the chick, it is like the leg is dead

Is it able to heal or is it hopeless???
Whqt should i do?

It is only 10 month brahma and i love it

The leg will heal over time, but you will need something to support it, such as sanitized twigs, and you will have to put medical tape around the leg, tightly so that it can't move as easily, but airflow can get through, make sure the leg is straight though, so that it will heal properly

Can you post some photos?
Do you think a person broke the leg or could she possibly have gotten it hung in something and struggled to get it out and broke it?
Is the leg bleeding or any bone protruding?

Having a break and injury is stressful. Place her in a quiet warm area on clean, dry bedding. Keep her separated from any other chicks so they don't pick on her.
Watch to see that she is drinking - you can add some poultry vitamins to the water if you have them. Her normal chick starter/grower should be made available, you can also give her some chopped egg or tuna to see that she eats a little after she is drinking well.

Here's a couple of links with photos and instructions on splinting:

Do you have a vet available? With an xray and lining up the break correctly the chicken would have a better chance to heal properly. Most of us do not have emergency vet care for chickens, but that would be best. Nerve damage can also be a problem with a broken bone if the bone has damaged tissue. First place the chicken in a small crate to limit activity, but have food and water within reach. The splinting guides that Wyorp Rock has given are very good. You would want to line up the bone ends, use padding, something stiff like popsicle sticks or finger splints, and wrap the leg with something like vet wrap strips that can be removed if too tight. Good luck.

One of my Icelandic chickens got a limp leg from being stepped on. She was only five months and couldn't even stand up! I isolated her, put her in a sling and fed her comfrey. She healed in about a month. COMFREY HELPS!

Try to keep it like that, it will heal overtime. Try to let her take it easy and don't make her run or anything. Hopefully she will get better.
