Someone dropped these off

These are really adorable. I hoped someone would be closer to take them. I'll look after them as much as I can.

Thanks all.
John

Can you post them online? Or maybe in the re-homing section of this thread? I'd hate to see those precious babies harmed. Where are you located? Maybe see if any farmers nearby raise geese and would be willing to take them.

I hate people who just drop animals. when we lived in TN it seemed like we would find new dogs or cats weekly. Luckily some of our neighbors had small farms and took them in.

The geese are following the local ducks everywhere they go. Maybe things will work out. Still keeping an eye on them. Will keep everyone updated.

I to hate people who dump animals rather than take responsibility for them. Every few days another dog or cat is dumped at the gas station behind my house. I now have 6 female cats (4 indoor since they were rescued as kittens) and 2 outdoor. I am also trapping the feral and recently dropped off cats and having them spayed/neutered given shots and released. A cat rescue group is working with me to do this. Costs me $20 a cat, so all 6 of my females are done and 3 wild tomcats. I also have 2 street dogs and 1 pound dog out of 6 dogs total. I have successfully caught and re-homed 3 puppies as well as what I ended up keeping. The dog rescues are all out of my pocket, can't find anyone to help me so I can do far less for them right now. It's sick that people just dump an animal when they tire of it.

As for your goslings, is there anyway you can provide them shelter at night? Geese are very vulnerable to predators, especially at night. They really don't need much, just a predator proof enclosure that has a draft free corner for winter.

I don't think I will have to worry about winter drafts for a looong time. We are running 70 to 80 at night and 90 days.

Wow, what state are you in? I'm trying to figure out what kinds of predators your area has. The geese still need night time protection from them. The temps are hotter than I am getting in Texas. I'm currently getting high 80 low 90 days and low 70 nights. Raccoons, opossum, hawks, dogs, cats, snakes, even large rats are all serious threads to the goslings. I have even heard of magpies killing goslings.

Between Houston and Galviston.

I'm in the San Antonio area. And I have 4 white Chinese geese and 4 African geese of varying ages. I actually have a pair of female African goslings about the same age as your Chinese look to be, maybe a week younger. I would be willing to take those precious babies in, if you want.
