someone gave me chicks what breed (pic heavy)

buff colored are a production red or red sex-link, black are a black sex-link would be my guess pretty sure on buff color ones...( I have 2 my DH brought home and blamed the 4yr old DD) not that i already didn't have chicks...I also grabbed 4 last year awesome layers even through the winter and very friendly :0)...black sexlink i have those also very good layers both lay brown eggs

oh you guys are awesome, that is what i was thinking to sex links, i am just glad they are healthy and happy...i just dont understand why people give animals for presents, i mean give me some hehe but some people just dont want or like chickens uhggg my old niece said she is scared of chickens and the other niece is into horses she should have known...

But I am happy more chickies hehe, hubby says i am now a lost cause

I'm guessing Buff Orpingtons and Black Sexlink pullets... The buff ones are rather light-colored to be RSL or RIR, aren't they?

I got the same looking buff chicks from TSC and they were Golden Comets....The black ones look like sex links.

No, I don't think they're too light to be something like a Comet. You have to consider that TSC stocks the red pullet bin every week of chick days but only offers BOs as a straight run "feature breed" once (if at all). The odds strongly favor that these came from the layer bins.
