I may have had this problem before...

I have a Rhode Island Red, Ginger, and she isn't acting normal... She isn't moving as fast and has her eyes closed a lot. She is very strong chicken so this is strange. I was away for a few days and one of my family members gave them extra amounts of scratch. I know they aren't supposed to have scratch on a daily basis in the summer. This is the only thing different that I know of. I don't want to check for blocked eggs, mostly because I don't know how. Should I go to the vet and have her check? Do you guys need more details? I really love her so could you please help me!

you can see if her belly (just under her vent) is soft. if it is there is no egg stuck. scratch would not cause any health issue, I feed my chickens corn and wheat mostly (I live in greece, there is already over 100f). if you can go to the vet.

good luck!
