And I don't know who it is! This is driving me crazy. There are no ordinances relating to poultry in my town.
My chickens mostly mind their own business.
It's hard to see in my yard because there's a huge garage on one side of the property line and a tree line on the opposite side. The very back of the yard is just short chain link but an older couple lives there and they like the chickens and live part time on a farm where they raise livestock. The old man always gives me great chicken advice and helped me build my cooler bator.
The two people who live at the corners of my backyard both have privacy fencing.
Who could be complaining??
First the city building inspector/code enforcer came out about a month ago. He said everything was fine he just had to investigate a complaint.
Today two people from the health department came out and wanted to inspect my chickens. They said there was no odor and everything looked fine. They noted that there was no feces on the ground and few flies. Thank you lime and DE!
What next?
The funny thing is, if the neighbors who keep complaining would just tell me what is bothering them I would gladly try to fix it. But since they just keep making general complaints I don't know what to fix. Maybe they just want me to get rid of my birds? That's not going to happen!
What should I do?
