Someone keeps making complaints about my chickens! (Update post #222!)

I wouldn't antagonize her. She may be a couple eggs shy of a dozen. Maybe if you ignore her for some time she will fixate on someone or something else. Like they say on the internet.... "Don't feed the Troll".

I agree, leave it alone - she's trying to use everything against you, and it seems odd that now all is quiet, she responded to her own posting. Also, the photos someone took should prove interesting, as they may not be your chickens or your neighborhood at all, and it was just a way to cause problems for you. They could very well be photoshopped

I read all the posts and glad the it has all worked out.PLEASE...PLEASE...DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN!!!!! When you do get a few$$$$ I would do the privacy fence thing,motion lights and camera if possible..Anyone that goes to the trouble of calling and complaining like that individual will continue to find ways of doing harm.Also you are thinking it is 1 neighbor, but some people are very shady,do nasty things and then invite you for coffee as their "long lost-best friend" Dont be tooo trusting with the other neighbors. Keep your eyes open and ears listening.We had problems because we had a rott.She was like my 5th child,even slept w/us.Loved everyone...a big baby..we had privacy fences and 90% of the time she wouldnt even go out to potty unless one of us or the kids were w/her..In that 10% she was in our"fenced yard" she was poisened and died...At first the vet was puzzled cause she went to the vet for check ups and shots like clock work..It was a horrible death..We were devistated and I still miss her so much.Even though we knew how she died,there was NOTHING we could do about it,soooo sad and heart breaking.Sad but there are people that are whacky,have no life and no cares for life whether it be a animal or person.Please watch the little one and your girls n roo.

In my opinion, Horsejody's suggestion for a reply to the emailer (post #103) is spot on, though you may not want to refer to them as a "Dufus". I think they NEED to understand that you have consulted the authorities, the law IS on your side, and that THEY could get in trouble for harassment if you chose to pursue it. It's obvious that these idiots think they are in the right. They need to understand that they are WRONG.
