Someone needs to write a book here!

You could approach some publishers about it (Storey's need a QUAIL version!!!), but if for some reason that didn't work out maybe you could go through one of those sites that publishes on demand? I don't have any experience with them, but that way you are avoiding the upfront costs of self-publishing. Then you'd just get some money every time someone bought one...I got lucky and a group approached me about writing for them, so I really don't know much about the ins and outs of book publishing. Sounds like Saddina does though!
Monarc since you are clearly so passionate about Coturnix, you should definitely follow this one through. Maybe you could use one of the Storey's books to serve as an outline for a starting point and then just fill in all the info so that it's about quail.

Im done for the day though!!! In between the heat and the birds not striking all the perfect poses right that second I took over 100 pictures and have deleted them down to about 8....

Yeah it's gonna be slow.... but yep... I even talked to my mom about it she thinks its awesome and she thinks i should try ot get it published. I dunno if I wanna go that far.... i dont *need* to right? I can just offer the Coturnix manuals for sale to anyone who wants to buy it right? Like a pamplet but in book style?

You do KNOW saddina, you're gonna need to be my editor!

The only problem with that might be that if you don't publish it yourself, someone else could. So if you didn't take it that extra step, you could be charged with copyright infringement

So you should publish it if you plan on selling it

I gave her the basic rundown of publishing on demand, and promised to go into detail when she's ready (untill then I'll work out some quail recipies to add in (since many people aren't used to quail meat, you have to open them to the culinary possibilities as well).

Yeah I'll happily edit it, please use spell check before sending it to me, as spelling is my weak point (yeah I know you all noticed

). Proof of origination isn't too tough (1st husband had to patenet an idea he had for improving hydrophonics), I can re-look up the steps. But yeah, cheerleading, critiquing, moral support, whatever you need.

And Shelley you make a very valid point. I have so much to learn! That on demand thing sounds awesome. I don't think im good enough for Storeys Guides bud WOAH if I was
th.gif
that'd be soo cool! LOL! I'll just have to work hard at it

I would also be happy to edit if you'd like. It can be good to have two sets of eyes go over the work to make sure nothing slips through. Especially with a lot of homophones that spell check won't pick up.
