SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!! DAY 25 and MOVEMENT IN EGG!!! HELP HELP HELP!!

OK, so.....I had 5 chicks hatch from my batch of 16 eggs....
I was going to clean bater tonight and figured I would candle eggs just to be sure....first egg I candled was 2/3 dark...air cell took up the other 1/3...then I saw it.....MOVEMENT !!!! OMG !!!! WHAT DO DO? HELP!!!!

Put that lid back on and wait!! Get humidity back up, and see what happens!

You can always help the poor little guy out. It is possible that he is too weak or deformed to be able to break out himself.

I don't want to be a party pooper but if the air cell is detached, any slight movement you make while holding the egg might look like chick movement. I would think in a fully formed chick the dark area would take up more than 1/3 of the space. But I hope you are right and you have a new chick soon.

Well....guess I will candle again and see...seems like chick would take up more space...can't bring myself to crack it open and see....most likely will clean out incubator and start fresh......Have 12 eggs to start! 2 Black Cochin, 2 White Leghorns, 3 Rhonde Island Reds, and 5 Isa Browns ! Here we go again !

it's on day 25 you say? Hatch that chick NOW! Least that's what i would do, most people would say leave it and if it does not hatch it would of been too weak in the world, but i say pish posh to that! I love all of my bird's, even if they are a little weaker than my others who hatched on time.

UPDATE UPDATE......WE HAVE A CHICK!!!!! Went in last night to candle the egg again...baby had pipped! I din't realize before I took the egg out ....it had pipped on the bottom and made no noise ! I did an immediate C-section...lol....The chick started peeping and I took pieces of shell off so it could get free...shrink wrapped as soon as I took it out to candle it.....WELCOME TO THE WORLD "LUCKY" !!!!!!

Only missed the trash bin by a few hours....thank God!
