If it weren't 113 outside right now, I'd drive over to Sprouts and buy some hulled pumpkin seeds.

I'm feeling sorry for the chooks that don't have the coop with AC.

I'm also wishing we had a hurricane headed north towards us....

They either survive our triple digit temps. with high humidity (60% or better) or they don't. I've lost three to the heat, but one was already ill with egg peritonitis. Long term forecast looks like September is going to be beautiful with temps. in the low to mid 90s. No I'm not being sarcastic, 90* would actually feel pretty good right now. Says Kat as she goes out to tend the chickens one last time today, it's 102* and the humidity is 57%.
