Someone tell me it will be ok

I have peeping. It isn't alot but someone is definately in there

I am doing the egg carton method so I don't see any movement or rocking but that is probably normal.

I have to go visit the in-laws tomorrow so I'll have to keep my hands off for at least 10 hours.

My surge protector blew this morning (I know I know what else) so they cooled off to 81 for a little bit earlier and of course at that time I didn't know about the peeping so I thought what next. But it seems someone is still in there and hopefully they be out here soon.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words I was so excited when I heard the peeping.

update. have 5 out and looking healthy. 2 more have started a pip. I have 12 in there but one of the shipped eggs was a fart egg, I'm reading that probably won't do well so I'm hoping for 11 healthy chicks and praying for 12. But I have 5 and I'm not counting til they've hatched so to speak.

Again thanks for all the encouraging words. You guys are the best.

I did exactly what you did, And I've had great hatch rates. The one thing I do in addition is wait until I see the air cell dip. This means they are withing hours of hatching and I only go into lockdown then. So I do lockdown even later than you did. Last time it was 2 days past the actual lockdown day. I had a 100% hatch my last batch with 2 assists in the end (I candle unpipped eggs after 6 hours after the last hatch) I don't open the incubator unless remaining eggs are unpipped externally. Then I wait a few hours and check to see why, but I am always prepared at that point to assist. The last ones I pipped artificially and wrapped them in moist paper towels. They hatched 5 hours later the rest of the way on their own. Shrink wrapping can only occur if the eggs have already externally pipped, if they haven't I always delay lockdown until the last moment so I make sure they have lost enough moisture to hatch.

I follow pete55's methods to the T including the artificial pipping. If you watch your eggs, they will tell you what they need
