Someones dogs killed 16 of my Silkies

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing chickens is like losing a child. I know how it feels.

All I gotta say is, shoot, shovel and bury.

Don't blame the dogs.
People who don't train or have control of there animals, be mad at them.
Its like what happens to the bad reputation with pit bulls.
If there weren't so many bad/irresponsible owners we wouldn't have dog attacks

I'm so sorry for your loss.
I had a golden lab kill some of my favorite chickens before, it took me a very long time to get over it.

It angers me that people like that can own animals

Im really sorry for your loss and wanted to comment on the dog comments. I have 3 Yorkies and have raised all of my chickens with them and around them. I free range my flock and stand out with them a couple of hrs a day working in the garden and such and the Yorkies are right there with them and never touch them. They stay out of each others way but are always withing a few feet of each other and Yorkies love poop so they usually follow them around waiting for a squirt....disgusting I know!

She thinks of it as an accessory... And wears it proudly that way...

Very devastating! I'm sorry for your loss, dogs getting in my yard is pretty much the only predator fear I have around here. I agree with others that breed of dog doesn't really count. The dog has to be taught not to chase and kill animals, or completely kept away from them.

I hate it that dog owners let their dogs run at liberty!
