Something amiss??

Shes supposed to be a 2.5 wk old barred rock..but something in her face is tossing me for a loop. She appears to have the most yellow on her face than any of my others...(other pics posted for comparison)

Thoughts?? Mixed??? just extra yellow in her face??

Got her from an order I placed at Rural king through Hoovers.

If other pics are needed I can TRY to grab some later...but with 33 of those suckered running around ...they are a tad hard to catch

I surely hope not as the order was strictly barred rocks.


They came into rural king together, and were held in the back in their own tub for me to pick up....

I’m not sure, I’m no expert! The second two pictures you posted look a lot like mine at that age, but the first picture looks to have a different skin tone to me..

They are so cute my goodness! And I had to screenshot to show this one, I love the black beak and darker legs on this one, too cute!! It’ll be interesting to see how this bird (from your original post) grows up! I would love an update if you remember in the future if it ended up being something different!

Yes, she's is different. She has a sister.

I lost 6 birds, my husband being so.kind bought me 6 of what he thought were barred rocks. 4 were correct 2 were black asains??? I think is what he said the sign had on it also.

First pic Looks like a barred rock atm. The last pic chick has an awful lot of white in the bars right now. Boys have wider white bars, making them look whiter/lighter. But, no comb color at 2.5 weeks, so hopefully not a boy.

This is the second chick...
I am hoping for a boy (actually 2 to 3)...
If you squint you may see some red in the wattle area

Usually you’ll see color in comb, or comb and wattles. If you got straight run, then you might be looking at quite a few males.

This one looks pretty light to me. Any color in comb/wattles yet?
