Something getting into chicken coop

I planted bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, sweet potatoes, sugar snap peas, 2 different kinds of cucumbers and 3 kinds of lettuce. I wanted to do more but I ran out of money and want to. I do also have tons of lemongrass, citronella and lavender around my patio area since the mosquitos are horrible. We also have some mulberry trees that we eat off of, the fallen ones keep the deer happy so I am hoping they stay more on that part of our property and away from my garden boxes. My boxes are spread out since I have very few flat areas that get good sunshine on this mountain

Glad the chickys are safe and sound. Beautiful roo.

For snakes, if you clear the feathers, you might see small puncture wounds possibly.

We usually have a garden here to but havent been able to do much with it the last two yr. I guess you can consider our veggie garden on cool down to collect nutrients. Our large home made duck pond empties out into it.

You made a valid point not much flat land on the mountain lol or sunshine with all the trees. Sounds like you have a nice bunch of veggies growing though. We get a good bit of sun this time of year but being on the north side that all changes come November.

I hear ya! We had to take out some trees last year so that for sure helped with the sunshine here this year thankfully

Runners stopping by for a salad I bought poultry foraging seed this year it’s been a big hit!

Here is Red watching over the peas! He just lost his long tail feather recently but I assume it will come back. Ignore the weeds, unfortunately that is a lot of the green we get but when mowed down who the heck cares?
