Something got my Gander

Something got & ate my Gander in the night... he was 3 months old... His mate Lucy is extremely distressed and very sad... is it possible i could get another Gander? would Lucy accept him as a new mate?

Very sorry for your loss. If your not locking them up safe at night I sure would recommend it. I hate feeding the wild predators around here.
