Woke up this morning to find two chicks hatched in the incubator a day or so early and one has a reddish thing hanging out of its back side. Anything I can do and what is it?

It is an unabsorbed yolk sack.
If it breaks on something by rubbing up against it the chick will most likely die.

Do you have a way to isolate this chick on a flat smooth clean surface?

How long does it take to absorb usually?

Thank you for the info,
isolated,
chirping,
what will happen to the intestine like one inch hanging behind it?
Will it retract?
Should I cut it?
Any info greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Sona
