Something I heard from an old man.....

[Break an Egg]

He said his dad used to raise game fowl and when anyone would ask for eggs to eat, he would rub butter all over the egg. He said the butter would make the eggs un-hatchable, just in case they were going to try and hatch the eggs. I thought this was sneaky as all get out, but so is someone asking for eggs "to eat" and then turning around and trying to hatch them.

Any oil base would work it closes the pores on the shell and snuffs out the embryonic development making it impossible to hatch. While I never even thought of it..it would definately work.

At golf courses that have issues with Canada Geese nesting. They spray the eggs with veggie oil so they don't hatch.

People do that trying to get cheap hatching eggs......I've had it happen in the past.
