Okay so is something going around with the chickens this summer? I have one silkie hen who can't stand she doesn't eat or drink. She is laying on her side. Her poop is mushy and runny. I gave her some vegetable oil, and some apple cider vinegar. Where I live it is about 90 degrees outside, but I don't it is dehydration. They always have fresh clean water every day.
If anyone on here has any idea of what might be wrong please state your opinion.

Thank you in advance,
Lynn

I'm sorry to hear that.

It sounds like she may be suffering heat stroke. Quickly dip her in cool (not cold) water to bring her temperature down. If it isn't this that is causing the problem, it may be something more serious like an injury (head trauma is common in silkies and the symptoms match yours) or mareks.

Sorry it took so long to respond. I hope she gets better soon.

Thank you and its okay i knew she wasn't going to last much longer. I held her in my lap this morning as she passed. I haven't seen anything so sad, struggling in my whole life. So I buried her in the garden this morning.
Once again I really appreciate your help. Thank you -Lynn
