Something is wrong with my Duck Help!

Not really sure about your campbell duck right now it does look like a she.I think the drakes start getting a green tint to there head also. You can tell male and females by there quacks. a female is very loud QUACK QUACK a male is a lot quiter with a raspy quack almost like whispering. Hope this helped. It sure helped me when i first got my ducks/You have some pretty ducks.

Thank you very much :)

My mom was all like ''Go figure out why her feathers are turning white or falling out'' and now I'm like ''Well Duckie is now a Rudy and is not a she and he is molting'' Now I just hope Waddles stays a girl :)

Will Drakes like to be talkitive too? and is it okay for a male duck to be with a Rooster o.o

I noticed some green on waddles's face this morning :( not boy and girl hopfully I can find a not so exspencive female duck as an adult online somewhere :) Since I use to have three ducks but one of them got sick and passed away..

Will they stay in the yard or will they try to migrate? Waddles won't be able to fly because of the one foot.

some times males will talk but they are alot quiter than females. By now you should beable to tell a difference in his quack and waddles(campbell) quack if waddles is a girl.Your mallard will fly away if you dont clip his wings.Iwould do so ASAP.
The first year i raised mallards i didnt know this and they flew away never to be seen again i was very sad.You can do a search here on byc or utube if you dont know how. Good luck. also you can keep boy ducks together.Watch and make sure tthey dont try to breed your chickens it will kill them. and if you do get more females you need to get enough for both if they are both boys. i have learned everything i know from the great folks here on byc. The people hereare so helpful. ;)

I hope they don't try D: That'd be bad DX I noticed green one waddles's head thismorning so she is a he D: no babies for now. I will talk to my mom about getting maybe 2 females when we have the money, and if we have to, I'll try to make a little coop with what scraps we have. and I'll ask someone to clip the wings. clippingi s like cuttin the flight feathers right? and I'm pretty sure if they tried to breed with the chickens Fred will get all butt hurt and try something hope not though! Just a thought lol, and will chickens adopt baby ducklings or no?

Sorry about wattles been a boy.maybe you can get you a couple girls.Yes they do need a coop.Do you have your ducks protected from pediters?Waddes having one leg will make him more vounerable to attacks.Yes clipping wings is cutting them.I dont think chickens wil adopt ducklings only if they hatch them.Hopefully someone more experienced will chime in.

It's okay, hopfully I can talk my parents into making another coop, a smallish one for the ducks, and maybe get some females, can the little baby ducks be in the same coop with the older male ducks or will they be ltrying to hurt them? Or can they just stay as they are with the chickens, they only stay in at night I free range them during the day everyday.

You can leave them with the chickens as long as they dont breed them.It will kill your chickens if the do. I wouldnt leave or put baby ducks in withthe drakes they will kill them. Maybe you can talk your dear parents in building you something to keep baby ducks in when you get them or a seperate pen for mama and babys.

Maybe. Or I can see if I can find some adult babes for these two drakes :D bahaha I'm silly. but yes I wil lsee if I can find them some girlfriends~
