something is wrong with my little Serama rooster. he has been doing great up until this morning, i'm not sure whats wrong.

i don't want to say he seems lethargic, but more so kind of worn out... im sure that makes no sense. but he is still alert, poo is 'perfect', his comb was a little dark when i brought him up to the house this morning. i put him into a cage by himself with some food and avia-charge water. i brought him in tonight to get him a little warmer. his comb colored right back up after about 2 minutes, he's sleeping a lot.

does he maybe just have a cold or something? no symptoms except for he seems worn out & cold.

He's my favorite of all my birds but im just baffled!!

seramas are not as tolerant of temp swings... could be he is simply getting too cold in the evening to be kept outside in that coop.
If you cannot bring him inside then think about building him a "coop-within-a-coop" > I have a friend who has done this:
He found a big ole polystyrene box and made a special enclosure with that (using sticky drawer-liner to cover the polystrene as otherwise the birds will eat it) > you could also cover it with those car foil things they use to keep the ice of the windshields ....and his seramas stay in there during the evenings except during summer) ...this is just one idea but you get my suggestion > the smaller space will keep their own body heat in (and in the case of the strofoam box will radiate it back)
If you use styrofoam be SURE to cover it with something as the birds must not eat it and they WILL if it is not covered.

Thank you so much, he stayed in the house last night. in a critter cage in the bedroom, he was really good & quiet. i think he was just happy to be warm, and it has been getting a little colder here.

I was just thinking last night of building him a seperate coop. smaller & up off the ground for him and 2 girls or so. that way i can make sure its warm enough for him.

i really appreciate your help, i'd be so upset if somehting happened to him
