Something is wrong

We got our chicks almost three weeks ago, and there was something wrong with one of them almost immediately. She was just droopy and had no appetite. I fed her some scrambled egg and got her to eat a little bit of chick starter when I mixed the two together, but then after a while she wouldn't eat that either. When she was about four days old she died during the night. I had tried to isolate her, but when I did she peeped so loudly and pitifully I couldn't stand it. She wanted to be with her buddies I guess. I was really afraid that what she had was contagious, but all the other chicks continue to be healthy and happy. Perhaps some are just born with something not quite right....

Last night my husband noticed that a few of the chicks were noticeably smaller than the rest. They were also moving much slower as well. We decided that maybe they weren't eating and drinking as much as they should be so we put them with the other chick. The original chick and one other that was moved last night passed overnight. Two are still separated. One looks like it will probably pull through. The other is questionable. We almost took it outside to...uh....you know....but it was peeping and moving around so we decided that it still had plenty of fight left in it to see what happens.
