Something keeps getting into my feed....

I have been keeping my feed in bins that have locking lids in one of my barn stalls. Something keeps coming in and opening the lids and eating the feed. I was wondering since now i moved the feed into the basement will it go after my chickens in the coop?

Can you attach a bungie cord to lock your lids down? Trail cameras work well.

My first guess would be coon. They are clever little creatures that can take the lids off garbage cans to get to the trash inside. I wouldn't be surprised at all to find them able to get into your feed. I keep mine in a galvanized trash can with a metal chain run through the can handles and through the top so they can't get the lid off.
