I'd give them a kiddy pool when in Texas so they can at least cool off and enjoy a nice bath.

Yes, they have a kiddie pool in Texas. They could have a pond but they are afraid to go in! I didn't let them in the pond in Texas when they were babies because I knew there were turtles and didn't know if there were snapping turtles (they aren't). I have tried to introduce them to the pond but they only putter around the edges and run back to the grass round pen I keep them in (safe from the coyotes and not-necessarily-trustworthy livestock guard dogs who kill rabbits and deer).

Your very smart to keep them safe way to many predators would love to have goose dinner.
