something seems off with my ducks

my ducks are 10 weeks old and my garden is full of duck feathers and i don’t think it’s normal for them to loose all these feathers at this age expecially before winter ive researched it but nothing really gives me an answer, today they where in their house before dark which they have never done before they always chill in the garden until it gets dark, i don’t know but they seem a little bit off. a few weeks ago one of them sadly died aswell i really want to be extra careful because that was heartbreaking

You may be seeing a juvenile molt going on.

Are they eating and drinking normally? I agree with @21hens-incharge that it may be a juvenile molt.

That's what it sounds like to me. As long as they get regular swimming water, you need not be overly worried about pests. As long as they are Active, eating, drinking and pooping, I think you're good. I have 6 in juvenile mold right now and there are feathers everywhere.
