ok what was it?

The plants were about a foot high and in pots on the porch and 2 of them are stripped of their leaves... who did it?

I've never had anything eat my mater leaves before...

And how can I prevent further damage on other plants?

Thanks.

I don't know! My chickens only eat my tomatoes, not the leaves.

That sucks. I'd be soooo peeved if something stripped my tomato plants, especially the 15 cherry tomatos planted near my vehicle that are strictly for "personal consumption".

As for what is responsible, I haven't the foggiest. Could it have been rotten neighborhood kids?

ooooh....well....I came home after dark last night so I didn't notice...my ducks do free range but I haven't notice them interested before.

I think that very likely could be my culprit then.

I mean a worm? the WHOLE plant--actually 2 plants? wow...that'd be some worm wouldn't it?

Oh drats...darn ducks.

Aren't the leaves not good for eating? They are poison after all right?

oh and if it were a deer...that'd totally be cool. ha ha...never saw one in the yard before...wild turkey once and a coyote in the neighbors yard...but never a deer.

I'm backed up to subdivisions so I'd assume mostly deer wouldn't be attracted...corn, alfalfa, wheat fields across from me and then woods beyond the cow pasture.
