We're in Wisconsin, zone 4.

In June, I ordered some plants from Spring Hill Nursery. They were to be shipped in September, thus, they could be planted before winter and come back in the spring.

They sent five of six plants November 20th. I've emailed twice, and tried to call but they don't answer and end the call.

2 - Fragrant Cloud Honeysuckle
3 - Shasta Alaska Daisy

They're soon shipping the 6th item which I'm trying to stop them, a Royal Purple Smoketree.

I presume I just stick these plants in a window with the rest of my plants, water them weekly, transplant them if they grow much (they're pretty tight in the pots they sent), and voila, in the spring, I'll have bigger plants?

I want to make sure this is what I should do with these and ensure they'll live five months in the house until I can plant them outside.

Thank you for any advice!

I'd be so annoyed. It is an inappropriate time to be mailing plants to Wisconsin. I'd be doing exactly what you are. Put them in a sunny window, hope, and see. I'd also be asking about their guarantee just in case they don't make it.

I will never shop at Spring Hill Nurseries again. This is unforgivable. Several attempts again and nothing.

I can see my order on their website and see they did cancel the 6th plant, but no refund for that nor even a credit for shipping plants too late to plant. In other words, they got my email but didn't bother replying.

Just to validate this should anyone else be thinking of buying anything from there, here's my order. The 1 daisy noted was a bundle of 3.

Hubs finally gave me the idea to call Shawano Lawn and Stone and they were helpful; said these plants need to go through a dormancy, so put them where it's cooler yet still gets some sun to keep them alive but stop them from growing. (The vines have new leaves coming.) Water very minimally, no fertilizer, and bring them back up in March. I'll have to set a reminder on Alexa or I'll never remember to go water them in the basement.

I've emailed them twice, and called twice. They haven't returned my emails and their phone ends with them saying they're all busy. No option to leave a message.
I was going to suggest that you air your complaint on the Spring Hill Facebook page, but it looks like you already did that. Bringing problems like yours out into a public forum usually brings results. Good luck!

I was getting desperate to reach them. Didn't get any reply that way either but at least it's public, as you said. I'm famous for rating businesses' Google pages, mostly all good, but there are some dandys I've left too! They don't seem to show up though as I tried to find it.

They're very popular so I suppose it's hard to find a way to report they have horrible customer service and don't know when to ship plants apparently either.
