The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

It's a fearful thing to fall into the hand of a living God.

Fear God and keep his commandments.

We should have an actual fear of the Lord. He is a consuming fire. He is the one who wins at the end of time and throws Satan in hell. He is the one who is going to judge us for every single thing we have done in our life. To have an actual fear of God is a good thing.
Of course he is a God of love, but He is also a God of judgment.

I agree. But the only ones who need to quake in their boots before the judge are the guilty, those who have not repented and are in danger of hellfire. Those whose sins are covered by the blood of the Lamb and are wearing the robe of His righteousness can stand in joyful awe before Him, coming "boldly" before His throne, knowing He is their Advocate, their Savior and Redeemer. Hebrews 4:16.
