Something Took My Hen

    :hitSmething got one of my buff hens:hit I think it was a hawk. The only thing I found of her was a few feathers.

    You would most likely get more responses if you put something in the title of the thread [​IMG] I just clicked it out of sheer morbid curiousity.

    Where was it found? If it was free ranging, a hawk is possible, but lots of other predators might leave the same sign?

    OP - I am sorry for your hen. Does not matter what got her, she is gone and you are hurting [​IMG]

    The very first bird who went "missing" - I blamed on hawks also. But it was not a hawk - was a sneaky coyote who had jumped the fence and nabbed a bird - just left a tiny bit of feathers from the catch.

    If you do think it was a hawk, you can try hanging CDs around to reflect light and move in the breeze.
