Something tripped our trap...

So, last night was night 4 since something killed my roo' and all has been quiet. No signs of anything and 4 nights of an empty trap.

Last night we used marshmallows and eggs and covered the trap with split open feed bags. No predator, though something DID trip it...I think it was this guy (photo taken right around 1am)

He was huge...he has his front paws in a hole behind the stump. He hung around for quite some time. We have never had a problem with bear bothering our chickens or ducks though. They seem indifferent to them.

He is beautiful! I totally would NOT want to run into him at night though!

LOL! Here is one from last year. The chickens kept walking by in front of him and he couldn't have cared less!! He was more interested in the corn.
