Plus I've heard the males STINK but I don't know how true that is.

Tommy was always very clean smelling. You can also get females with less carnuncling and some drakes don't have that much, either.

Fortunately, muscovies are a tree duck and are not all that fond of swimming. Mine almost never get into their wading pool--of course that might be because HRH Lucy (chinese goose) hogs it and won't share. They do enjoy irrigation, though.

One my my female muscovies is named Squeeky, because when she was broody, if you went up to check on her, she would start making squeeking noises. The male makes huffing noises.
