Is this fowl pox or something else? Don’t know what this is on my female broad breasted turkey. She also seems to be panting a lot. Nothing else seems to be wrong with her and my male looks fine and all chickens in other pen look fine. Help please.

If that is fowl pox, it is a really bad case of it. If possible, you may want to check with a veterinarian.

I can try to find a vet who will take fowl, but in the past no one in my area has been willing to see them. That’s why I posted on here to see if I could find some help. I can try tomorrow and see if I can find a vet, but my past history trying hasn’t gone well.

If anyone else has any other suggestions or ideas on what they believe this might be I would appreciate any help.

That does look like it could be a really bad case of pox. Is she still eating and drinking?
Yes, she seems to be eating and drinking ok.She’s panting a lot. My male is a good bit bigger and he’s not panting like her at all .

We have had turkeys and chickens for a very long time but I have never seen anything like this before. I looked online and fowl pox is the only thing that looked kinda like it but nothing looked as bad as she does so I didn’t know if it was something else.

This site specifically mentions "wart like bumps".

Fowl Pox
Thank you. If indeed this is fowl pox she definitely looks like she has a severe case. We live in the Deep South and definitely have more than our share of mosquitoes that are big enough to tote you off but I have never seen this fowl pox before. Guess I can count my blessings that this is my first experience with it.
