Somethings killing my ducks

Could they run off with a duck without leaving any trace behind? The only way to get in is to dig under the barn or climb an 8 foot high fence. There aren't any large holes under the barn as far as I know. The only way to get in is to climb the fence.
They absolutely can. Done it to mine before. They climb over kill the bird usually by bitting the neck then carry it over. Sometimes there can be little to no evidence. That's why I said get a camera.

You can try to make it more predator proof or it might even be people taking them:(

So do you think that a raccoon is killing them and carrying them over the fence? Why isn't it bothering my chickens then?

It will go for the chickens when there are no more ducks. Ducks have more fat and are delicious. This happened to me years ago when I had ducks and chickens. First, the ducks ... or it could be a fox. Foxes can climb fences. Any way you can sit out there and watch?
