Supposedly my BO's I just got are 12 weeks old this thursday. As you can see in the pics below, one is much smaller than the rest of them.(All 4 are 12 weeks). The little one was picked on at the breeders and caged with the other BO.(why she has no tail feathers) Since they have a buddy system I took them both. I have had them for 5 days now. Eatiing/drinking and pooping are all normal until this morning. Someone has bloody stool.First stool looked like a blood clot and second was like red tainted water. All four have clean butts and I have been watching them for the past hour. Do they poop when you want them to? NO! So I don't know who it is.
Little one is just standing around with her eyes closed, not very interested in her hard boiled egg and is not chirping. She is normally babbling to everyone about everything. So this leads me to think that she is the one with bloody stool but I can't prove it because she hasn't eaten anything yet.
Do you think this chick is really 12 weeks old? And should I go get some medicated chick starter to mix in with the flock raiser. They were on medicated feed until 10 weeks but if she is younger perhaps she was never on medicated feed long enough and has cocci??? Any thought here? Her behavior and energy is on the low side
