Sometimes Assuming makes you.....feel like an idiot!!!!

I wrote last week about Olive Eggs I was getting, I thought for Sure it was my little Young Houdan hen as I saw her sitting and when she got up the egg was under her, well stupid me!
I moved birds around yesterday and moved the Houdans out of that pen and left the Splash in with Junior (Black Orp) and put a couple of Blue Hens in with them. Anyway, today we were outside and I checked and I had 3 eggs from that pen, 2 Tan and an Olive! I am 100% sure it is the Splash, which is what I suspected the first time

Hey, it happens!! And you arent too proud to correct yourself when you find out you are mistaken. Thats a good quality.

I plan to hatch a few eggs from her and see what happens. I will get pics of the Splash Hen, she is one of the darker Splashes but actually has pretty nice fluff.

Well, regardless of who laid it, this is still really interesting.
