$2-$3 each isn't too bad, you could add that onto the shipping charge if selling eggs.
It would be a big lump sum to pay out to buy the 50 - but when broken down its not totally crazy.

that is true but like i said if your selling cheap eggs at like 5 or 10 bucks a dozen that 2 or 3 bucks seems like a lot, but for the more expensive eggs it is really worth it, since i know the mail handlers are preatty stingy about paying for broken eggs lol

the real question is..would the post office reimburse you if the sticker went off (showed mishandling) ??
I'd bet not..

You could also just offer it to the person buying the eggs as an option and let them decide. Such as:

"I have shock watch that I can place on the package for $3 if you would like?"

I wouldn't waste money on a shipping indicator, when a broken egg would tell you if your package was mis-handled.

I think a person who got a package where the sticker showed mishandling would still set the eggs, because hope springs eternal, and, what the heck, why not?
So I don't think the end results would be anything other than causing worry to the recipent.

yes it would but would it be proof to the mail carrier that ir was, no it wouldnt they would come up with some type of excuse of how it was like that before or after they got or delivered the package, but if it has a indicator and it was not tripped when droppped of to the carrier, but it was when it was picked up then obviously it was the carriers fault

im going to go open a poll on this

nevermind i didnt know we didnt have pools on this forum lol

Sometimes the eggs don't break, they're just scrambled in the shell pretty much and will not develop or hatch, you've no real way of knowing that until they've been in the bator for a couple of weeks.

the thing about this is it would be awsome to keep the human factor watching the box whie they have it, but i bet hte breakage of hte indicator happens when the box makes that 3-4 drop off the conveyor belt and into the bin... no humans involved there...

i would still think it's a good idea though because at least you know a little more when you get the box... you know wether to have high hopes, or only medium hopes.. lol...

I thought pkgs marked FRAGILE weren't supposed to be put on the conveyor belt. They are supposed to moved by hand start-to-finish. I'm going to ask at my post office about recourse if the lable is used.
