Son went to a poultry meeting and came home with chicks...:)...

Men are such suckers for silkies!

I don't think my dog can handle any more chickens right now

. He might pack up and leave us if we do that.

Talking to me? Lol Thank you!

Love seeing the silkies stick together

Aoxa, are these Silkies? I have never seen such puffy ones. My son said they were Silkies....

Yes they are

I hate Silkies. Seriously the proof is I only have two. No really I hate them. I keep a tin foil hat on when I'm around them. They're really aliens from another planet here to suck our brains out. I was hoping to start a new slipper business with them. What should I call them?

You either love them or hate them! In my opinion, other than egg laying ability, they make great additions to a flock

What eggs? She hasn't laid one egg in two weeks. I was told she was a year old. Maybe she's hiding them. Though her pen is not big enough for her to hide them anywhere. I still hate them. Heck if it had anything to do with love, my mother in law would be long gone. Cuz I hate her too, but DW won't let me put her in a pen.

Right now, I think my dog thinks they ARE the scraps....
smile.png
...Yesterday, he snuck into the pantry where we have their kennel right now and just laid next to them. I think he was hoping we would let him in.....
tongue.png
. He is NOT ready to accept them into his "herd" quite yet. I am his alpha, so I try to douse myself in chicken as often as possible, LOL, we will see.....

Has she ever laid an egg? Maybe they lied about her age. My silkies haven't started yet, so I can't comment. I know my BR who is not molting, has extra light, still refuses to lay

My polish mix beats her hands down for laying!

I have a 9 month old polish who was POL in Aug. Still not a single egg!
