Firestar was interesting, because when he was the main character he has more than one side to his personality. Bramblestar is just...so...frustrating. He totally mistreats Squirrelflight, who is a GREAT character. (SPOILER AHEAD, FROM BROKEN CODE)



































Now that he's possessed, he acts pretty much the same, and he's clearly supposed to seem evil. I want him to kick the bucket already so that we can have Squirrelstar! Hopefully she'll make Ivypool or Rosepetal deputy.

I'll politely say, Bramblestar only mistreated SquirrelFlight after he was possessed, and technically that wasn't really him. I can't say I love Bramblestar a ton, but he definitely would never purposely hurt anyone he loved.

Yeah, Erin is starting to run out of ideas. Have you noticed how weird her new names are? But she has written so many books that I can see why she is having trouble.

I'd agree that obvious/direct mistreatment, yes. Only after he was possessed. But from the end of New Prophecy up until Vision of Shadows, he's just a general jerk to her. This may be only my opinion, but he is just really frustrating to read about and he has NO IDEA he's even doing it. If you look at other successful pairings, (IvypoolxFernsong, SandstormxFirestar, CloudtailxBrightheart, SorreltailxBrackenfur) There's none of this constant arguing, manipulation, and emotional turmoil going on. Some of this could be Squirrelflight's fault, but I'd say that it's mostly Bramblestar.

Has anybody here tried Survivers, Seekers, or Bravelands?

. Erin Hunter is actually just a pseudonym used by a group of writers and an editorial team that work on Warriors.

I've tried Seekers and Survivors, but it was such a long time ago that I'm completely out of touch with the characters and what's going on. Bravelands I remember to be very similar to The Lion King-dad dies from evil lion, runs away to the forest, lives with forest animals. The new part for me is the prophetic elephant.

It's been FOREVER since I read Power of Three, and the second book is taking a LONG time to get here (I have the ebook on hold at my library.) I think that Dawn of the Clans is probably my favorite series, though The Broken Code is really good so far. Lot's of readers don't like The New Prophecy because they think it was boring, but I personally thought that it was a really good series. I especially like The Broken Code because it has perspectives from multiple Clans. One of the reasons I'm excited for this RP: THUNDERCLAN GETS TOO MUCH ATTENTION!!!

At least Loudbelly wasn't a major character, and her name wasn't Loudnoisy. Equivalent names to what I have a problem with are Pebblestone and Breezewind.
