Songs We Like

Bread, probably too soft for you 80's kids. I was a true hippie (minus the pot, lol), I loved folk music like Peter, Paul and Mary (someone made my LIFE telling me I had a "Mary" voice!), Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, yes Neil Diamond!, Donovan, Simon & Garfunkel, John Denver, the Mamas and the Papas, a couple of one-hit wonders who did Butterfly of Love and San Francisco... I don't recall thir names at the moment ... the Beach Boys, oh my goodness yes! The Stone Poneys ... We Five, the whole British Invasion, let's see... Chad & Jeremy, Dave Clark Five, Herman's Hermits, lol.... the Monkees ... Sonny and Cher ... oh

Will that do? :lau

the Mamas and the Papas, a couple of one-hit wonders who did Butterfly of Love and San Francisco...

Scott McKenzie Sang San Francisco (1967). Which, amusingly, was written by John Phillips of The Mamas & the Papas

"Random stuff Azure knows" file.

Bee Gees got me with their harmonies and range, especially later in the 1970s with SNF.

If the Carpenters are too soft for you, okay, that's your opinion. I love listening to Karen Carpenter's voice, especially live. No studio, no autotune, just pure vocals.
When all you get is a steady diet of rainy days and mondays, it gets old. She had an amazing voice, but just not for me. I was not built for soft rock /folk

And that's okay.

I despise Journey, get lots of nasty looks for it.

That's right, thanks! That would have come to me 'long about midnight tonight and I woulda had to fire up my phone to say so. Which I rather notta.

My files are getting rusty and no longer on the Power Glide system, alas. 😊 Everything is still in there, just not as easy to access.
