This is a picture of my sons chicken I am trying to find out what kind of chicken it is. If anyone can help thatd be great

How can you tell the sex of chicks

By comb and wattle growth usually. Boys grow theirs early, whereas the girls stay small and yellow until they reach laying age.

How old is the chick? I agree it looks like a Cornish X judging by the legs, and possibly a cockerel since I can see some reddening in the wattles. I can't see the comb.

Is he planning to keep this as a pet? If it is a Cornish X you will need to start restricting feed.

I have 7 other chicks just wasn't sure how to tell the sex of any of them
