Thanks! I agree with you about little exposure. I have a 7, 5, and 2 year old and worry they may rush the hand washing a bit..thanks

Haha I'm in Manalapan! And yes I bought my chicks from agway in Englishtown. Nice to chat with someone so close by. Does Englishtown Agway carry meds if ever needed? Or would this be something a vet would handle? Everything is fine now but I'm sure a day will arise that one of them will need some sort of attention and wanted to be educated before hand...thanks so much!

Well Hody neighboor!!
I live in Monroe.. on English town Road.. accross the street from the race track... funny how small our world is!! The girls at Agway are very helpful just have to ask them .. the meds are usually in huge quanities so you have to do some math to figure out how much to give them. There is no Tractor store in this area but another place you can get chicken supplies is Dill's... the are located over by Battlefield Orchards, right past the Route 9 enterance and exit ramp.. I buy my feed over there, they are a few dollars cheaper.. but for everything else they are a little more expensive, But they have them in smaller quanities.. the guys there are wonderful as well. There is also Rick's saddle shop over on Main street in Englishtown they have two shops.. one is down the street.. but I haven't tried going there they looks like they have everything needed for horses. I do not think there is a vet in the area that takes care of chickens, thank goodness I have never needed one.

I am so excited to have someone in the area who is also raising chickens!!! We just received 25 more babies this week.. I had forgotton how cute they are when they are fuzzybutts! We are still working on thier coop and run.. hopefull we will get it done in the next few weeks. Feel free to stop by any time I would love to meet you
