Soon will be retiring to the cottage we have been building

We are downsizing! Simplifying life! Moving to a 540 sq. ft. cottage which we have been building for about 9 months. We plan to garden, raise a few chickens and sit on our porch some too.

We raised chickens when we were first married for several years, then life, work, got just too busy. Now, we are going to make time for some basics again. We had Buff Orpingtons and Barred Rocks in the past.

I love this site! Lots of great, new ideas.

So awesome. I'm sure it'll be great, next to some woods and all. I miss the forests that we used to get in the northern hemisphere, I live in Australia now and there's not so much forest as scrub round here.
