So I am totally steaming about this one guys! I broke down and decided to get some eggs off Ebay. This was a partial MY BAD moment because I didnt check to see if any of the GOOD feedback the guy had was from shipping eggs, until after I bid....
SOOOO, I checked with the guy who is only like 30 minutes away from me anyways, I was like, Hey if I win, can I pick them up from you. Then he said he would only ship them. I honestly think he just wanted the extra shipping money.... so guess what this No-good-ebay-seller does! He sends the frickin' eggs alright... In a HUGE BOX it was a LARGE flat rate and on top of that he doesnt mark the box....PERIOD! No FRAGILE. NO HATCHING EGGS no NOTHING!
OH and BY THE WAY, guess what.... he put the frickin eggs UPSIDE DOWN, as in pointy end up in the darn carton! He didn't put bubble wrap around the eggs he just wrapped the foam egg carton in an entire roll of bubble wrap..... Can you believe this guy?!?!?!
Well thankfully it only took them one day to ship to me, right? Both the PO's that it went through dont use Xray machines. So I am thinkin, well chances are pretty good.... NOT. Well, I candled and atleast two for sure had detched air cells. the egg shells were terrible, very pocky and mottled when you shine the light on it its like looking at the ngiht sky (not quite that dark though haha. Well, I recandled them today, it is about day 3 or 4 and I decided I didnt want to leave them in their too long. So I candled tonight, well..... all but two left the bator... I had a frickin dozen. out of the dozen only HALF were fertile. Then, about 4 had detached aircells. There was one I just didnt like the way the aircell looked and one had grown bacteria (had a spot in it).
poo on ordering from ebay....poo poo poo.....
I have been looking ALL OVER for bantam EEs and I had finally found them too bad it seems like this guy just walked next door and stole some of his neighbors eggs or something! I mean I think honestly that most of them were quite old.
Anyone know where I can find Bantam EEs?
